Processing of your data

For the purpose of lending materials and providing library services to users within the framework of the Library Act (Biblioteksloven), we at Rudersdal Libraries process personal data about you as a library user, acting as the data controller.

We process personal data about you in the following categories:

  • Personal identification: CPR number and library card number, as well as in the category of names
  • Address information: name, name of any guardian, address, postal code, city, country, telephone number, email address.
  • Loan administration: home library, holiday period, interest period, pick-up library, borrowed, reserved and returned materials, your lists, including reminder list, dealings with the library and payment of dealings, dealings sent for recovery, emails, SMS and push messages sent to you and any blocking of loans.

We do this to be able to administer your loans and provide you access to the library's e-resources, send you information about returns and reservations, and give you access to use the library outside of manned opening hours. Processing of personal data is carried out in connection with a range of services, including self-service solutions, open libraries (i.e., use of the library outside normal opening hours), and the library's app "Biblioteket."

If you do not wish to be a user of Rudersdal Libraries, you can go to the library and have your account deleted. An account cannot be deleted if there are any outstanding dealings.
